Marie Pietersz hails from Melbourne, Australia.

She loves dancing and is a well-recognised and popular line dancing instructor and choreographer.

She has a reputation of being a very competent teacher and inspiring demonstrator.

She teaches dancing in many community centres in Melbourne to people of all ages.

She has been a dance class leader at the University of the Third Age for fifteen years, dedicating her time to providing retired and semi-retired members of the community the opportunity to learn life-long skills.

Her classes are always very popular, often with a waiting list from one to two years.

Her classes include not only line dancing but also easy social and progressive ballroom dancing using the classic styles and steps, party and fad dancing.

Marie has also received medals in Ballroom and Latin dancing and still trains in these styles of dance.

She is an approved ballroom instructor by US cruise agents to teach on cruises.

She was chosen to dance the samba in the finals of Dancing with the Stars at Sea program on the Holland America cruise line.

She is a professional member and instructor of the Victorian Line Dancing Association and Nuline Dance.

She is a leader and demonstrator at the annual Victorian Line Dancing Association Balls.

She and her dance troupe are a regular performance feature at Federation Square during Seniors Week, the annual Whitehorse Spring Festival, country western dance theme festivals and fundraising events organised by charity organisations (e.g. Rotary, RFDS), retirement villages and aged care facilities, at workshops, and at community events, not forgetting special birthdays and surprise parties.

Runs senior classes at Vermont South Learning Centre, Camberwell Community Centre, Springers Leisure Centre, Forest Hill Uniting Church hall, Notting Hill Neighbourhood House.
